The Central Library performs its functions with 2 Senior Technical Assistants, 2 Junior Technical Assistants, 1 Steno (Hindi), 1 Office Assistant, 4 Book Attendants, 1 Class IV, 1 Class IV for Xerox Service and 1 Security Guard. The administration, management and Library LAN network administration and digital library services are performed by Dr. Ashwini Tiwari, Deputy Librarian.

Department of Library & Information Science

The Central Library is also having integrated Department since 2006, offers Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.S.- Integrated) which is two years programme for absorption into schools, colleges, universities, various industrial establishments as information professional / technical assistants / Librarians. Number of Seats = 20. Eligibility for Admission: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any stream with atleast 45% marks. Provision of Lateral Entry into Final Year: Candidate having B.L.I.S. / B.Lib.Inf.Sc. with at least 45% marks shall be eligible to seek admission in the Final Year, subject to the availability of seats. Candidate after passing the first year examination of this M.L.I.S. (Integrated) may exit and shall be awarded B.L.I.S. Degree.
